Top squealing when closing
From your video their diagnosis sounds correct. Bearing will fail “sometime” in the future but if you have your owner’s manual and the hand crank tool in the trunk tool kit, your can still latch the roof manually. That round plastic piece in the roof covers the hand crank insertion point. You should read the owner’s manual covering this topic.
You have to decide if this is something you want to tackle yourself or pay their labor rates and new parts cost. I’m assuming the quote is for parts and labor. Obviously, a dealer main profit center is in repairs. Doing it yourself, with used parts you’d spend a third of their quote, and allocate about three hours for disassembly, installation and reassembly as a novice. They’d probably have the job done in an hour due to prior experience.
