I'm sitting in the tire shop right now for my 97 LS400. And I was thinking about some of the information that I have read here on the forum about disabling the TPMS System on their SC's. But the thought came to me as the new owner of a 2002, not knowing everything that has ever been done to the car, and not having a spare, AND not using run flats, how would I know if my TPMS hasn't already been disabled? Is there anyway to verify its still functioning besides letting air out of a tire? Or is that just the easiest way? Thanks.

I see all kinds of lights. But I never associated the TPMS Light with it being enabled or disabled. I'm assuming here from the question that if that light comes on when I first turn the key that it is enabled and if I don't see it it's disabled? I'll be checking in a little while.

Would you happen to know what full batt voltage is? The i905 was an accidental buy for me. But it properly diagnose my top failure too. Dead on. I need to start going through YouTube and see what exactly I can do with it. I'm a big proponent of everyone having their own scanner. It's just one of those things that we only pull out when somethings wrong. And I know it can do more than that. A lot more.

Good to see you're getting different values under differing circumstances.... Here is a chart with the Reference Values for the TPMS sensors. As well as a PDF with component locations throughout the car. (02-06 year models)
Perfect. Battery voltage min is 1.8V. That means I probably have awhile before I have to change them out. Considering the best price I have found for a set of four was $322.58. I can use that for a couple of other things right now.

Under the ideal climate conditions they should last a long long time. Mine are the original ones, knock-on-wood, installed in April 2001, with all still working.
