Default How many left?

After recently purchasing my 2003, I (like all of you here) started researching everything I could relating to the sc430. My question is, does anyone know how many are still registered, licensed or still on the road?

Of the 10,298 reported original sales of 2003 SC430 in the U.S.A. I suspect it would be next to impossible to determine the information you’re looking for, i.e. “...how many are still registered, licensed or still on the road.” in the 50 states, stored in garages. Not to mention cars sold in other countries, e.g. European original sales figures state another 847 2003 cars were sold.

Thanks for the reply VVTiBob. I wasn't looking for just 2003 models, but all of the sc430's. My understanding is that there were slightly over 60,000 of these vehicles sold in the United States between 2001 - 2010. How many are still on the road and not in a junk yard?

Betcha Lexus Corporate has a “close to” number for all those recall notices.

Just find out what the average total loss for any vehicle 1-20 years, add the years up and subtract from the total amount sold, 60,000 something. I am pretty sure you can count on 98% of the 430sc's sold still on the road mechanically given the build quality of the car. So just need to figure out the total loss count, some are rebuilt and sold so that would probably wash the small amount of mechanically dead ones and you should have it.
Or we can continue the forum roll call, think we have latest currently operated vehicles at 9.

According to Government data there are 2087 left in the UK of which 321 are SORN (unlicensed) data for Q4 2018
In 2017 Q4 the total was 2116

For the roll call, I can definitely confirm 10 of them as we all met last Sunday so that makes 19. Most of the cars looked in better shape than their owners.

Thanks for the info Neil. How come the UK has data like that and in the US it's a hamster wheel of confusion? Looks like you lost over 100 from 2017 - 2018.

It's not that we're more efficient over here, I think in the UK the authorities just like to know everything about everyone.
