Trunk Silver "screws" or grommets?

I noticed in my truck that there are some empty holes (2) where as in the thirs there is a silver/ brushed steel plug. Any idea what these things would be called to search for? What did they do? Where could they have gone, any direction would be helpful thanks.

The silver grommet is to capture the end of the pull tab that allows you to put the tonneau cover in place. It is magnetic. The other holes are for fasteners to hold down the liner.

not the same angle but you can see the plugs and the magnetic strap on the button.
