Default Rush Coilovers

Hello folks, Happy Holidays. Is anyone on the forum familiar with Rush Coilovers for the SC430? I have found a used set that appears to be in good condition for what seems to be a good price. I'm just not familiar with the brand. My shocks are due to be replaced so if a can save a grand by buying some used

Used Rush Coilovers for 02+SC430

I have no knowledge of them but then again, suspension is really not my thing. Are these out of a salvage car or something? I'm not sure why you'd risk buying a used set otherwise.

Yes cost is a big factor. Local Lexus dealer wants 1500 + for the rears. I can get a full set for 600 bucks.

I hate spending tons of money on our third vehicle that sits in the garage 1/2 the year!

Check out some of the threads here in the forum about coilovers and ones that these guys have recommended. You might find that some of them are similar in cost and new. The ones from the dealer (the OEM ones) will be the most expensive. I'm guessing that some of the guys here on the forum will chime in here fairly soon who actually know what they're talking about (versus me) though.

That name brand did not appear when I was doing research for my replacement coil-overs. I replaced front and rear with Megan racing EZ coil-overs in my 2002 sc430 about 6 years ago and I am very happy with the ride and ability to lower the car for the look I was trying achieve.
Search the forum and you will find great installation instruction if you plan on doing it yourself, I did it with basic hand tools.

About 6 month ago I noticed oil leaking from my front passenger coil-over. I found great information on YouTube on replacing the insert instead of the whole assembly.
I called megan racing ordered both front insert and within a few days I had them. I was able to take apart the assembly, replace the cartridge on both sides in about 3 hours, very easy.
You can get new megan racing ez's for about $700.
Good luck with your choices.
