Anyone know if there is a procedure to unlock the CD mechanism from transport/shipment mode in the ML OEM headunit? I have the manual for the headunit (probably courtesy of Retroplay?) and could find nothing about it other than the procedure to set it up (same as is on the label of the headunit). I suspect that it is made to exit that mode once it is powered back up but I really don't know.



I have a unit from another owner (who replaced his with an aftermarket) but when I press either Load or Unload, the unit states Wait blinking for a while and then it just goes away (back to the regularly scheduled program, so to speak). It acts as if something is blocking the mechanism.

 

I've done enough work with the radio. Once in ship mode, as soon as you plug it back into the harness with power, it will/should exit the ship mode.
