Did the SC 430 aged well after 16 years ?

I've had many cars during my younger years....Porsche 911's, 928S4, 944's, M3's and probably the best looker at that time was my Nissan 3000ZX...well in my opinion anyway.
Now I'm more "relaxed" and have a Lexus GS300 (2005-6) and also NX300h (2016).......
I remember when I first saw the SC...and frankly I hated it....especially the original wheels. It looked more like something which should be floating (as I read later was actually part of the design).....however, in my later years, I'm starting to like it, and it seems to age gracefully. I actually test drove one (2005) the other day, and was everything I would want in a cabrio...soft ride, enough space, and spot for kids or even the dog in the back...and enough power, though it wouldn't probably blow your mind away.
Anyway....I'm planning to get one and keep it until I go under myself

I had a 240 sx red fast back. Regretted selling that thing for over 30 years. Cornered like a race car. Not fast but still fun

I have owned my 2002 SC430 Indigo Ink Pearl (Blue) with Saddle (Tan) interior for 7 years now. The odometer bumped 60,000 miles in the past year. I fell in love with this car when it started production and think the design has aged beautifully. I appreciate the fit and finish of the interior which is very resistant to aging. I was delighted with the great price I paid 7 years ago. I'm 72 years old and this is my forever "toy" car. I love it.
I have had a few issues with my car. One of the roof hinges had a bad limit switch and let me tell you this is a VERY expensive repair. I innovated, buying a used part on eBay and finding an independent mechanic who was willing and able to do the work. Cost me a grand instead of almost $7,000. The speakers were bad and I easily and successfully followed the Forum instructions to re-cone the speakers.
I have been disappointed in the car's handling since I got it. The tramlining is kind of annoying. I wonder whether this is a function of the car's small wheelbase, age of the suspension or the tires. I'd appreciate thoughts on this topic.

Roof limit switch
Limit switches are what control the extent of the roof's movements. My roof would close but the switch thought the roof was still open a tiny bit. So, the car made warning sounds when it started moving. I was able to do some opening and closing cycles and managed to get the switch to recognize the roof was closed, but I suspected I was getting by until a permanent failure occurred. An error code identified the offending part.

I should add that the bad limit switch is a component of that roof hinge. You can't buy just the switch. You have to get the whole hinge. A new Lexus part is VERY expensive. I bought mine used on eBay for $200.

My dealer, earlier this year, was handed my LS with a cart blanche order to repair the AC which had failed after 20 years. Dang, you would expect it to last forever....LOL. I was expecting a $1500 or so bill. I was told that the diagnostic, if not acted upon, would be $220. The entire repair (flushing, cleaning and replacing the Freon) was only $250. Yesterday I, again, took the LS in for several noises and a brake repair. and before I left, the check in guy, had cured all the noises gratis. Now we will see what the brake repair costs.
But the 2006 SC has just short of 200K on it and other than brakes, suspension parts, battery, two liming belts (standard maintenance for the 430) and tires, it has been flawless.
Deciding to put the top down while you are waiting for the light to change is a show......
My wife drives the LS because she prefers the ride, but I like the SC because its a better chick car and at 87, I need all the help I can get.
