Saddle Interior with Black Wood Trim?
Hi all,
I'm a new member; overwhelmed and pleased with the amount of resources and threads on this forum. I am wondering if anyone has seen or has photo examples of a sc430 with the saddle interior and black wood trim? My understanding is this was never a factory color-combination, but I know the black trim became available with the PB edition and I was wondering if anyone had combined the saddle with the black wood. Thanks for your time!

I don’t believe that is the saddle trim. My 2007 has the saddle trim and it looks more golden than this picture. When I get a minute I’ll go out and take a picture and post it.

I believe the 2009 Pebble Beach model was the only one to use the dark (black) wood trim, and that car only came with Ecru interior (I had one and did like the dark wood look against the light interior).

Actually the 2004 and 2007 Pebble Beach Edition both also used the dark AKA "Blackwood" or "black birds-eye maple" trims in addition to the 2009 Pebble Beach Edition. The 2004 model had Ecru color interior and the 2007 had the pimento red interior. The color/interior combination in the first pic of this post is clearly from the 2004 Pebble Beach SC430.

Interiors can be wrapped easily enough. I have some pictures of interiors done on my site. Most all of them are in the carbon fiber finish though, but be just as easily done in a gloss black finish.

I am looking for a silver SC430 with tan/beige interior. I prefer dark wood trim, but that is very rare. It would be a huge help if I could just modify the yellow wood trim. My main concern is (a) it looking/feeling cheap, (b) longevity, (c) cost.
Any idea there?
And thanks for posting that!

Is there a place to buy the official blackwood trim OEM second-hand so I can swap it with mine? (I haven’t bought my SC430 yet, but when I do, I really doubt it will have the black trim.)

i was thinking of doing vinyl wrapping, but feel like that might not be a good look since these are real wood grain (or real-looking), and vinyl wrap just doesn’t hold up to that, even if the pattern is nicer.
But hydro dipping seems like a better fit.
thanks for this tip!
i wonder if anyone here has found a nice black-wood hydro dipping pattern that closely matches the official set.
