dont waste your money with a dealer when the answers are all here if you can operate a computer and turn an occasional wrench.
are you up for it?

Absolutely. I've known my way around Toyota products for 15 years.

Anyway,

Had some free time the other night. Found some red transparent vinyl wrap laying around from another project. I decided that the clear 3rd brake light bothered me. So, I decided to use a bit of the red wrap and go over the lens on said brake light.

Pic attached. And then another of a cool angle I liked.

It's basically tucked away for winter. Just doing some sprucing up. Still working on interior detailing. I'm trying to get it super duper clean.

Thanks!

I figured if I decided I didn't like it, I could always take it off. Plus it was kind of free.

Update time!

Not a big one, but here you go.

Last week I did the timing belt and it's components. Still looked like brand new behind the covers. Belt was in good shape but, for peace of mind, I did it anyway.

I also added an axle back exhaust. Went with the Top Speed Pro one, since apparently no one can ship a Megan until June or August unless you pay double the retail and get it via eBay. This one sounds good, with a nice low rumble, but it isn't much louder than stock. So, I'm going to have a buddy cut out the resonators and weld in pipes. I don't have a welder, unfortunately. For $40 and a sixer of beer, I'd call that a good price.

Also removed the LEXUS and SC430 emblems. Unsure if I like it, but I can always put them back on.

Next upgrades I want to do are the steering rack bushings. Maybe some other bushings from Figs if anyone has recommendations.

I have yet to mess around with the VSC and VSC OFF light dilemma. Also getting a P0155, P0440, P0441, and P0446. So, and O2 sensor, and some emissions stuff. I'll get around to it. Thankfully, we don't have emissions tests in Indiana, and the car runs like a dream, so i'm not overly worried. I'll do the O2 sensor first.

This past Saturday, I took it to our local Cars and Coffee. Lot's of compliments!

That's it for now!

Thanks for the info!

I reset the VSC and VSC OFF lights on the car last week and they haven't come back.

Replaced a lot of vac hoses too. Only code that keeps popping up now is for the oxygen sensor. I also need a new air control valve for the power steering pump. The port that goes to the intake pipe is cracked off on it.

so far so good. Getting the resonators removed this week as well.
