Default Brake Warning Light

My wife has a 2001 LS430. At 100,000 miles we had a complete brake job done by a local Toyota dealer (there is no Lexus dealer near me). Anyway, the Toyota tech apparently didn't know that the Lexus has an added sensor that detects brake wear. Thus, her car continues to warn her that she has serious brake wear. She now has only 105,000 miles.
Is there any way to disable this feature? Going back to Toyota seems a waste of time since they apparently don't have Lexus trained service techs.
Thanks for any recommendations,
-gene

Wrong forum. But to answer your question many Toyota models have the same brake sensor design as LS430. Once the sensor is worn it has to be replaced. Its an easy job, any brake shop can do this. Just order a sensor from Amazon and have someone (either Toyota or indy guy) put in.

Woops -- sorry about posting to the wrong forum -- we also have a SC430 and I called up the wrong forum.
Thanks for the response nonetheless.

Thanks for asking. I'll take a couple and post them soon. Nothing to special about mine. It's a 2002 silver with black interior. It only has 24000 mile on it. Bought it from the owner of the Subaru dealer in Charleston SC a couple years ago -- then it only had 18,000 miles. It's my toy car and it gets driven when the weather is pleasant (to drive with the top down). Now that we live in FL those days a few in the summer!!!
