Default Navigation and Convertible top not working

Our '05 SC430 hardtop convertible was hit from behind. We just got it back from the shop and the navigation door is stuck open and none of the buttons work. Everything is in place and the hardtop will not open either. Any suggestions or ideas about what may have happened?

yes, talk to the body shop and the insurance company.

I heard about the hard top if you are hit on the rear bumper right side....

It sounds like your center control unit got disconnected. Check the cables.

Sorry to hear that. As half of the value of the car is in a working hard top, the car is not fixed if the top is not working. You need to let the insurance know the job was not done on the repair and take it from there.

Does the trunk open ok? Is the cover in the trunk in place? Do you have a picture of the car after it was rear ended but before it was repaired?

i bet the trunk cover switch is disconnected or not seated correctly!

why in the world would anyone take a car from the body shop without checking everything before you sign the paperwork and accept the car?
i am assuming this is what happened!

Question, where did you send the car for repair? This is critical for the reliability of the repair, this is a proven method. If you send it to a trusted repair shop, even if you pay a little bit more, then you are guaranteed that all repairs required, identified early on and other repairs required after discovery will be addressed and commercial issue is not the gap.

Keep in mind that you are the customer. People forget. We as customers have the last say.
