Default Ect pwr button

Hi, just got a lexus sc430 a few days ago, and when i flip the pwr button on, nothing pops up on the screen.. coming from a gs300, when the pwr button is on it would pop up on the dash, but for the sc no pwr light comes on.. any idea why or is the SC made this way?

There is a indicator light come on for Power/Snow etc so something is wrong I'm afraid to report (could be bulb! cross fingers it's something so simple & cheap... non-trivial to change however)

Or it could be a blown fuse.

Yes, or a fuse!

Anyway, congratz on your purchase... hope you really enjoy the car and plenty of top-down fun.

(See if you can get the dealer/seller to resolve issue or give you a discount to sort it out yourself which is probably fuse/bulb related)

If you tell us what year, we can tell you where to look on the dash for the light. It moved in 2006.

Can you test the light when you turn the key on and engine off?

Looks like maybe the bulb is out? Is taking out the cluster easy? Do you just pull it out?

Here's another thought. Whenever I press my PWR/SNOW button sometimes it sticks. Due to the location on the center console and the propensity for the drink spiller er...drink holder to dump Big Gulps onto the console, you may need to clean or replace the switch. I haven't cleaned mine yet but it's on my to-do list.

How do you take out the center console?

Doing a search on "instrument cluster" will bring up several links, including these two.

Yeah found out how to remove it. But can't find anything on removing the center console though.

Oops, sorry. My eyes read correctly but my brain said instrument cluster. Dooh!

What part of the center console did you want to remove? There was an article about replacing the radio a few years ago that removed just about everything there. I believe that was around 2012.
