Default Transmission fluid leak

I have noticed a few drops of red liquid on the driveway lately, presumably transmission fluid leaking. Can anyone tell me where the leak typically starts, if there is a "typical" leak. Is it generally an expensive fix?

I just replaced the ATF filter inside the transmission. While it wasn't dripping, I did notice a slight discoloration of the pan and transmission body caused by weeping of fluid by the front corner of the transmission pan. The factory uses silicone gasket material instead of an actual rubber gasket that after 117,000 miles and 12 years it was starting to leak.

The other area to look at would be the two transmission cooling lines going to the radiator. Rubbers hoses and clamps in some areas.

Shouldn't be too expensive to fix.

Might also be the power steering fluid. Get the car checked over.
