Default sc430 TOP PARTS LUBE

I searched and found the pictures on lubing the top but my question is how best to get the top in the right
spot to do so....They say have motor running and dont turn off with operating to top..So do I raise the top
to right spot and leave motor running or do you raise to right spot take finger off button and then can I turn off motor to do the work with out causing a top problem??? please reply.....

You can stop the engine after you place the top in the position you want. It will not hurt the top.
When you restart the top will find the position and begin to move again.

The manual says don't stop when going up or down.

Stop the top where ever you want?
The right position is anywhere you stop it.
Try it and when you start again, it will find where it left off.
