Default 2005 430 light leveling system sensor

I'm finding some conflicting information regarding the replacement sensor for the rear. Amazon sez the Dorman 924-755 sensor will not work on my car, however, it looks identical. One post on the forum here states it will work. Any suggestions?

Have you tried taking the sensor apart and cleaning it? There are threads on here about it, and YouTube videos on it.
