Default techinfo.toyota.com - get it cheaper!

If you start your 2 day standard order in the late afternoon, you will get 2 days plus the remainder of the current day.

If you go to My Account, you can extend or upgrade your subscription. If you choose upgrade, you can change to Professional Diagnostics level access for $20 per day. Cheaper.

Normal fees:
$15 for 2 day Standard subscription
$55 for 2 day Professional Diagnostics subscription

Well, I am still trying to figure that out, exactly. My understanding was that it gave you access to the Diagnostics tab, but I don't have that.

It also supposedly gives you access to the ECU calibrations and unlocks more features in the Techstream software, but since these cheap chinese cables are not really 'legit' techstream software, that may not work.

So, until I figure it out, I would hold off on recommending anyone do this unless someone else wants to try to figure it out with me. I've got until tomorrow midnight to figure it out.

I did play around with the Tech Training documents and found a treasure-trove of information. It's pretty much the full technician training textbook. I downloaded most of it. But this is available in the standard subscription as well.

Well, I figured it out. You need to open the website on the same computer that you are using Techstream on. Then you get the diagnostics tab. This allows you to download some software (the only interesting one was VIN programmer.) You can also search for ECM and transmission ECU files which you could then update your car. However, there was nothing for the 2003. For the 2004, there were a couple files related to some SBs.

Overall, not really worth the money.
