what ever happened with the guy from novel that flew to the US to tune some cars. I saw a thread about it awhile ago but i cant track it down. Does Anyone know?

 

i was the one that met up with him. though i got some info that the sard ecu writer will work on us spec ecus...the price is very steep. to send the ecu alone to japan...$2500, to have the car and tune it on a dyno $3500. so the wait continues. i am flying to osaka japan next week and plan to stop by novel. ill report back with pics and hopefully more useful information

 

Geez, that's steep. Why would it cost 2500 to ship it to Japan? Maybe this price includes the re-program/flash?

Why doesn't someone just buy the SARD reader? I am most likely going to purchase this under my company then pick a tuner out here to setup a deal with where he learns the software. I will run my car for 3-6 months to work out what ever bugs may arise.

Ive found the reader for about $2600. If anyone can find a place offering it cheaper please post a link. Thanks.

 

Damn.... And I hated paying $1000 for my ESS tune when I had my M3..... Lol
