Default Phone Number Entry Workaround on GPS

I don’t know if this has been posted before but I’ve read quite a few posts and never came across this solution. As most know you can’t enter phone numbers directly in the “Phone Book”, however what you can do is register an address and phone number in “My Places”. I set up multi names/numbers using the same address; (e.g. Jane Cell, Jane Home, etc.) I really only need the 3 numbers I use to contact my wife programed in my GPS so not a big issue for me.

Once you have “My Places” setup with your contacts phone number you can go to “Memory” and select from the list who you want to call; (e.g. Jane Cell), click the “Info” button at the top and your GPS will display the address and phone number of the contact. From that screen just click the little telephone dial icon at the lower left hand corner and it will dial the number.

It’s a few extra steps to make the call but once you’ve done it a few times it goes by pretty quick.
