Question Dumb question about LUG NUTS!

OK... I got a new set of OEM SC430 pie plate wheels to put on my 1995 SC400. I ordered some lug nuts from my local dealer. What I got yesterday in the mail does not look like the lugs on my 2002 SC430.

What I received were 20 nuts in a bag labeled "NUT, HUB W/ WASHER 90942-01062". My problem is that you can see all the way through the "NUT", i.e., they are open on the outer end. Is there some sort of NUT CAP that I need to order? Did they send me the wrong nuts? Anyone have any experience with OEM nuts from an SC430 ??

Zap,

Its not a dumb question, its actually kinda nutty. jk (I know, I know, don't quite my day job) Got a pic? The OEM lug nuts on the SC 430 are not open ended. They are quite different from other lug nuts in that they have that little washer so the lug nut lays flat against the wheel. It could be that your 1995 SC has a different thread pattern and the lugs you received are the only ones that'll fit the thread pattern and sit flat on the wheel as well. On the other hand, though, they could be just the totally wrong lug nuts. I've seen open ended lug nuts mostly onsport compacts like hondas and acuras.
