best looking 430
i have always loved the sc300/400s and the gs300/400s (2nd gen)....i never really liked the sc430, till i saw genes car. i think imho, thats the best looking sc430 ever and i want to thank him for showing me what mods can do to a car. now i have newfound love for all sc430s. thanks gene. its the best looking lexus imho. and to my utter surprise, you only live 16 minutes from me
now my dream garage will be a 99 sc400, 03 gs430, and a sc430 just like genes, once i graduate college. till then, my sc will have to do
so what is your favorite sc430?

i have never ridden in his car, so i am not sure.
i have had my cars lowered all my life, except the mini, and yeah the ride is a bit harsh, but the gains outweigh the negative aspect imo
on my lexus, i just lowered it last week, its rolling on 16s still....the ride is just a bit stiffer...however i will put on some 18s over easter..and we will see how it rides then

yeah.. My 911 is my track car.. with lowered coil-overs...
Heck, I even lowered my winter car with H&Rs BUT I don't want my summer 'vert plush car to give me harsh ride.... I didn't buy the SC430 for a sport type ride... I bought it for a luxury, relaxing, sporty (but not sport) ride....

As soon as this #$%!@ snow goes away, I plan on taking some more photos of my sc430 wearing the new SSR GT3 19"s.
If you want to see my other cars, this isn't the place to post photos but you can get to them here:

ceboyd, back when I was seriously considering getting an M3 or 993tt instead of my SC430, I was also looking into autocross. At the autocross events, do you ever see any SC430's competing? I might like to start with my SC430, and if I get hooked, that will just be another incentive to add a 3rd (faster/sportier) car for autocross.
I've even thought about something like Spec Miata, but I don't know much about it or if they even do that around here (North Mississippi). My concern with getting into any amateur "racing" is that I know almost nothing about repairing or maintaining cars, only to take it to the dealer /mechanic if something goes wrong. Is knowlege about or experience with repairing cars necessary for autocross or other types of amateur racing?
