Default Anyone removed Xpel (rock chip protection)

I am thinking of putting on a product similar to xpel to prevent rock chips. I actually don't want it on my car all of the time and only want to use it once a year when I take a long highway trip. when it is removed, does it harm the paint, etc. I have looked into a bra but people have told me that they often scratch the underlying paint.

Thanks

Peter

Xpel is very hard to remove. I had a dealer remove it and he had to repaint the bumper.

If you are only going to use if for long highway trips, a bra will be just fine. Just ensure that you wash your car before installing it, don't use Armor All on the bra and remove it after your trip is complete. I don't think that xpel is designed to be removed.

Gene ...

I've never seen Xpel except in pictures. What color do you think it would be most noticeable on?

I took off the product last summer. While it was a tedious job, it did come off. No signs of any damage or wear. I use a factory bra during Florida's "love bug" seasons and have not noticed any paint or wear related problems with it.
