Whew! I can sure see why that would take a Lexus tech 10 hours! That's heavy duty and requires an SST.

You are very welcome rip and you are correct about the SST. I located an EXCELLENT article about how the roof functions and includes the SST part number. I will place the link here and up in post 3

Bgw, that's an excellent article. It also completely convinced me that I am NOT the person who should be attempting this repair. The Lexus service rep offered to give me the names of Seattle area body shops who could do the repair. I'm going to take him up on the offer. I doubt any of our local body shops would take on this job after doing some research. I assume the SST is not going to be in the average body shop's inventory.

boy that sucks. I really hope it turns out very easy and cheap and working like new again.. I still don't know whats wrong with mine, but ill get the codes soon and report back!
