Battery
Let's not beat this to death guys. To each of their own and I understand coming from racing and weight is your enemy. Little secret, I don't even carry the owner's manual in the car, my wife thinks I'm nuts, and I added maybe 25lbs of Dynamat to the car.
johnny
I no that if needed I can use my lithium charger if need be. in the month of Feb it was the teens in N.J. the car start right up. as I said I used a Qdyessy battery cost me 275 shipped add the two togather 750. so the lithium battery cost me 450 shipped. to me the 450 upgrade was cheap for 42.2 lbs weight lost. this is what guy don't understand the lithium battery cost 450 and lost 42.2 lbs because I needed a new battery. I only use Qdyessy battery.

Lexus has an 84 month Toyota battery they sell and warranty. I just put one in my wife’s 2015 GS350 AWD F-Sport. I also put one in my daughter’s 2001 LX470 (at my Toyota dealer). If I have a warranty issue, I have to go to the Lexus dealer for it.
Do you mind sharing the cost of the 84 mo. Toyota battery? I had a factory one in my 2001 Tundra that lasted 12 years!
We paid about $250 for the battery and installation/reprogramming of different settings for the GS.
We paid about $160 at the Toyota dealer (with our standard discount for the LX470. ;-) We have been going to this dealer for 25+ years. I don’t think anything had to be reprogrammed.

So it looks like it is free replacement for only 2 years.

Then it is prorated.
I think I am better off with Costco. I bought a battery many many years ago. They keep dying before the warranty wears out. They give me a refund and I buy a new one, restarting the warranty period. I haven't had to pay for a battery in over 6 years.
