I just wanted to introduce myself. I go by Lbintab on all my social media outlets...my name is Elvin. I just purchased a 2004 Sc430. Indigo blue with saddle brown interior. I'll be doing some mods to this car over the next few years. I'm going to follow the same formula I used on my LS460L on this car. Air suspension, wheels, BBK, body kit, and sound system. I hope to keep you all updated along the way. Here's pics of the sc and some of my LS.
Here's a pic of the LS in Vegas before Sema Roll In.
Thanks. I'm actually thinking about using my oem LS460 brakes and make brackets so they'll fit the SC. I know it's been done in Japan but I haven't seen anything like that in the US.

...I can't remember the thread, but I think it has been done by one( maybe more) of the members here a few year back
This car needs a detail bad. I'm tackling this using a Dewalt rotary polisher, 2 different sized Rupes orbital polishers, chemical guys v32, v36, v38, Jet Seal, and Butter Wet Wax

Does just waxing it with a rag take away the swirls?

No. You'll probably add swirls by doing that. Swirls are from working in contaminants. Prior to all this you need to clay bar the car to remove and embedded contaminants. After that's done you go through different levels of abrasiveness in the compounds...hence me using the v32, v36, and v38. Using the right tools too can make your life easier. i only did 1/3 of the car today and it took me a solid 3 hours. You can imagine how long this is going to take. The wheels are 20x10.5 +25 all around. I have my Airrunner air suspension at the shop which will go in in the next couple of months.
The oem brakes on the Sc430 are not great at all. I'm spoiled I guess. I'll be upgrading these to an 8 piston/6 piston setup real soon. Probably 380/356 rotors. Currently have a similar setup on my LS460 but much bigger than that.
I haven't updated in a while. Brakes are in. As you can see I don't get wheels and not have brakes to go with it. Its a part of completing the package. 8pot/6pot 380/356. Above is my LS460 with also an 8pot/6pot setup but with large 405/380 rotors.
