Any simple way to make my rear side windows go up when my top is down. I'm willing to rewire if its fairly easy.

Here is a diagram created by one of our club members.

 

It does have it written in the owners manual


Basically ...

1. Make sure the roof is down and the ignition is on.

2. Press the Valet/Trunk lock button in the glove box to LOCK the roof in the down position.

3 Within 10 seconds of pressing the valet button/locking the roof down. Press the OPEN main switch for the roof on the dash TWICE.

4 Then PRESS AND HOLD the CLOSE side of the main switch (with in 10 seconds of step 3) until the rear windows come up.

 

This is totally new to me. What year sc430 do you have ? What page is it on in the manual. I have never seen it in mine 2005 sc430

 

That does work when the car is stationary, but the warning buzzer will go off as soon as you drive it above 5mph. Tried it.

Is there a way to have rear windows down with top up?

 

Luxlink with 1/4 window mod. Or there is a relay schematic post on forum

Before doing this mod, make sure to find the thread about the effect this has on the top and its ability to open/close. I decided not to do it for that very reason.
