The other day I called the dealer about a full transmission flush for my 2002 sc430. The sales woman also suggested that I get my ECU updated. Do you all think that there is any real value to the ECU being updated for $100? Or is that more stealership BS?

 

Never heard of ECU update . Yes I have heard of the navigation update maps. No ECU I am aware of

if you get the full flush make sure you have the valve body mod. done.

 

My Lexus dealer will not make any modifications to any of my lexus models that deviates from factory settings. Is the valve body mod considered a deviation from stock adjustments.

 

It's an option from stock for different markets. If they won't do it, get someone who will. Being dictated to by dealers is something I do not tolerate myself....

I'm getting that done next week when I get my Tramission Filter Replaced! I didn't know it was called a valve body mod :-)
