Do you have the second unit which is the XM Commander? If you don't, you will not be able to receive the stations. Notice that the second unit to the right of the attached file comes with the antenna. The good news is that you did purchase the correct device.

 

I know that VAIS is constantly making changes/upgrades to the firmware in their products but, unless something has drastically changed, the only interface box that they make that's compatible with the 2002-2004 SC430 is the SLU...and even then, it only works in "Special Emulation Mode" (see attached compatibility chart).

I bought mine years ago so, it's possible my information is outdated, but I got this chart from the VAIS website so, if it's wrong, they're wrong!

 

I looked at this SLX unit before buying my SL3U direct from Vais. Apparently the SLX (ebay) will not work in our vehicles. I was told this by VaisTech and a third party vendor also, but VaisTech might have denied it to keep their sales and the third party could be wrong. I do however believe that the SLX will not work for 2002-2006 as indicated by the list above and do feel that it would work in 2006+ model but you MUST have the SAT interface/receiver. Using it for an Aux input alone would not work.
