Or you can get ceramic pads but rotors will be short lived, but less dust though.

I have used both ceramic and "OEM rotors from Sewell" and I never noticed any difference in the dust amount. I have used and continue to use ceramics on other cars I have owned over the years and have never had any issue with rotors not lasting. I have seen that comment before, but I am not sure it is backed up by science. I have also seen the comment that ceramics are better for your rotors. I think they are fine and will continue to use them.

I like ceramic pads and use Posi Quiet ceramic now. But I did find on two cars that after fitting the ceramic pads, while stopping power increased, my OEM rotors warped ( or developed DTV as some say ) within 20k miles. I fitted after market medium to higher end rotors and have not had problems since.

Dunno if it was coincidence but on my 2006 RL, Akebono ceramics and OEM rotors caused my rear rotors to warp while on my SC, Posi Quiet combined with OEM rotors warped my fronts after sometime. Rears on the SC are still OK - despite using Posi Quiets too. SC now has slotted rotors for the front and they seem to be doing fine with my Posi Quiets.

I have the Bendix ceramics on my 2005 SC and they are low dust. No problems with warping. Also, I don't know whether it was the quality of the brake technician or the design of the pad interacting with the clips, but the Bendix pads virtually eliminated the SC brake pad 'click click' syndrome
