Electrical problems
2004 sc430, I bought it new, 23,000 miles, never a problem until: audio stopped, radio dial, antenna ok. Next day battery was stone dead ( 2 year old interstate, replacement warrantee in effect) replaced, charging system checked and was ok. Audio still not working. I spoke with a good radio guy in Atlanta...audio amplifier has a protection circuit that shuts it down if something isn't right. He told me to disconnect the battery for a few hours. I did and indeed the audio returned. Then after turning the car off and starting again later, again audio gone. I repeated the battery disconnect again and again the audio came back but again went off again. Now I find when the car stands for only three days, the battery is dead. I jump start it, charges ok but again, standing three days the battery is again dead.
Any ideas??? Are the battery drain and audio problems connected?
