Default Nice Car - Complements

In the last few weeks 4 times people have come up and said Nice Car. All 4 times my wife and I have been together when we got the compliments.

We have 2 SC 430s, a Silver and a Matador Red . Compliments have come from both men and women, young and old and with both cars.

I have never owned a car that seems to get attention like the SC430.

My wife gets a big smile on her face every time.

What a great car.

JR

We had a few crappy weekend wild weather recently, and didn't have a chance to take our SC430 to stretches its legs.

Today, the heavens opened up and we had perfect autumn weather. So we decided to take our dobermann to the beach for a swim before it gets too cold. Drop the roof and put our dog in the back seat.

We were parking our car and heard Groovin by the Young Rascals on the radio and decided to turn up the volume. A couple of people said to us nice dog, nice car and nice sounds!!

I love my SC and the compliments. Who wouldn't like a SC?

Which provokes more compliments?

When I pick up my kids from middle school or high school, the other kids are always, "Wow, cool car." Nice to know we're still hip.

Both the Silver one and the Red one so far have logged equal number of compliments from strangers.

The Red one gets the most comments from neighbors. Also the Matador Red one, by far, gets the most double takes or stares when driving through parking lots.

They're both easy to keep clean, not like black.

The 3 crazy guys at Top Gear. But you know what, I do not care about them not liking the SC430.

Yes, it's real nice.

We have 2 homes in Florida, one on each coast which we travel between. We keep one SC430 garaged at each house and commute between the 2 with the 42mpg CT200h. The CT is just big enough to load the two of us, the dog, the Parrot in his cage and what ever else we want to transport.

Our LS460 is only used for going out with more than the 2 of us for dinner etc.

We drive the SC430s with the down about 50% of the time year round. Today it's a beautiful day, 76 deg and sunny.

I love retirement.

I have a SC, ES and a RX and I thought my driveway looked like a Lexus dealership parking lot. Owning 4 including the CT and LS is fantastic!! That's the way to enjoy your retirement for sure. Every time I drive the SC I get compliments on the car. It's a fun and exciting car to own.

Awesome to hear.

I have a GS460 and my fiancee recently bought her ES, claiming that I influenced her to buy one. I'm looking to add a SC430 soon and hopefully the next generation coupe Lexus comes out with. Total brand loyalists by now.

Tend to get way more when top is down for sure.
I always thank the person followed by, "yeah, bought it used and its got almost 200,000 miles on it."
I like to watch their eyes bug out.

He's a Mealy Amazon Parrot. We've had him for about 38 years. He's still a youngster.

I thought you and your wife just didn't like sharing the SC430 but your answer is much better.
