Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm the new owner of a 2003 SC430 in Montrose blue with black leather. As a UK owner, there seem to be far fewer SC's over here then in the US - could be something to do with the higher price of fuel and the mpg of the SC (but as we all know, you don't buy one for the fuel economy...).
I've already picked up so great tips from the forum - the buyer's FAQ were a Godsend, I've disabled the TPMS and have some new boot struts on order at half the price that they cost in the UK. Will be coming back regularly for more, no doubt.
From: Formerly Easton, Pa. Bradenton FL, now Osprey Fl.
I would also like to welcome you to the forum. This place is a wealth of knowledge, as you already know. Also I'm sure you might be able to meet up with some of the other members in the Uk.,and talk over petrol prices, and anyother things about your vehicles.
Welcome to CL.
Good to see there is another Brit on here.
You have the same colour combo as me, but I prefer to call it Indigo Ink Pearl as it is known the other side of the pond. Sounds far sexier than Montrose Blue.
Only 2000 SC's were ever sold in the UK which makes it a pretty rare car. My local Lexus dealer is less than a mile away, but I rarely see another.
There are three other Brits who occasionaly post on here that have modified their cars, but I have never seen any other modded ones.
There is a wealth of knowledge on here, these guys know their stuff.
Enjoy your car and post some pictures when you can.

Welcome to CL Aillas. Just a note on fuel economy: on long road trips, my old V8 SC gives my 3.5 ltr V6 Acura RL ( Honda Legend in the UK) a good run for its money - I can eke out 25 mpg from the 4.3 ltr 3UZFE and that about equals what I get from the Acura. I'm totally satisfied with my SC's fuel consumption considering its an old technology V8 with a 5 speed transmission.
