Default Things That Go Bump

I need a pulling your hair out emoticon!! I am a little **** about squeeks, rattles and anything else that makes noise (other than the stereo and especially my wife) You can imagine my total horror when I went around a corner and I heard what sounded like a marble rolling through the roof or dash of the car. I've been able to replicate it a few times but I have to be cornering pretty hard to get it to do it. I have had 1/2 of the top apart.....3/4 of the dash apart, under the hood, in the glovebox and console as well as underneath the frame and I cannot for the life of me find the source of the noise. What am I missing?

Ear plugs would help. I feel your pain someday when your driving and you go over a bump you will find a 10 mm nut that was left on the dash frame and dislodged after car was built and then you hear it rolling around. falls out from under the dash maybe its in the defroster vents . If your looking for it you wont find it. Try fishing a magnet on the top[ of dash near the defroster see if you can get a bite ]

Toxic, I'm with you when it comes to squeaks and rattles. Unfortunately I live in a county that spent their road maintenance money on executive pensions so I just turn the stereo up and drive. Besides with my SC the pitch and location of the offending noise changes daily!

Make no mistake, I WILL find it. By the duration of the sound/roll it is either in a channel or open void because it sounds like it goes from side to side the full width of the car. There's only so may places that there is that much unobstructed space. That's why I naturally thought it was in the roof or dash area. I have a 93 Jeep Wrangler that has no squeaks or rattles!! I will root them out. My biggest concern is that a nut worked it's way off in the roof area and we all know what that could do.
