I have lexus 430 2008/9 model. I can't find a way to plug my iphone/ipod to listen to music. Is there an extension?

 

My 2005 does not have an iPod input, so I use a cassette tape adapter.

 

You'll have to install an aftermarket adaptor. Most people use a unit made by Vais. Use the search feature and you'll find many threads on the subject.

 

Vaistech is the best solution for integrating your ipod. I personally installed them on both my LS & SC. They work phenomenal. Installation is about an hour and a half. Use the search and you should find a few threads on installation.

 

Installed VAIS in the SC and the RX. Good stuff.

 

The Vais unit is only needed for 2004 and earlier models. You can use the Grom unit and save alot. Grom is only $130 but i would hold off if you are getting ready to upgrade to iphone 5 cause they are going to a 19 pin cable and there is no word yet if a adapater will be available, ie you may need to upgrade the cable in the near future. hopefully an adapter is debuted with the new iphone. I have the Grom unit and it has worked flawlessly.
