Default SC on TV!

Our beloved SC430 seems to be the vehicle of choice for rich bad guys on TV this year. So far I've seen a black SC being driven by the corrupt DEA agent in the pilot of Fastlane and the abusive dad chasing nanny Kim (Kiefer Sutherland's daughter) in this season's 24 drives a blue SC.

I can't help but be suspicious that Ford's sponsorship involvement in that show is palying a role. The "Bad Guy" has both a SC430 and a LX470.

There was a silver 430SC on the show C.S.I. that did some hard driving a few weeks ago, pretty cool.

Default There's a limit

I also noticed that one character in 24 (the best show on television, ever) had two Lexus cars, and everybody else drove a Ford, which sponsors the show in large amounts.

What this says to me is that even Ford knows that someone with a significant income is just not going to drive around in a Ford. Maybe the director drew the line here.

He does seem to be a little high strung, though.

Lexus owners are usually a little more laid back.

Like me.

But doesn't Ford have a great interest in Jag-you-are?

I haven't heard of this show, 24. I'll have to keep an eyeball out for it to see how my car would have been driven if I had it when I was 30.

Default It's all wrong

First, if Ford thinks they can disparage Lexus by having a "bad guy" drive it, they must not have not seen "The Sopranos." Besides, they have another apparent terrorist driving around in a Red Thunderbird.

Secondly, anybody who has not heard of 24 yet, much less not seen it, is just simply not plugged in.

They are out there, and all we can do is feel sorry for them.

They know not what they miss.

Hmmm ... what a misspent adulthood I am having!

So, tell me .. just where do I look for this program? Is it on HBO? (which I am not interested in subscribing to). I subscribe to only about sixty-something channels instead of the several hundred many others do, and I tend to watch mainly non-fiction stuff. I don't follow any series.

And tfischer, I'll have you know that I checked all my electrical and electronic devices and sure enough, they are all securely plugged in.

There was a SC 430 used in VIP, the Pamela AAnderson show. it may have been the pace car. Also the TWIX commercial with Usher, he is inside a SC 430.

I did a Google search on the show after I posted my append (should have done it *before*). After reading the description, I realized that I had read a review about this show before its first season and made a mental note to watch it because it sounded interesting and unique. Unfortunately, I often misplace my mental notes and totally forgot about it.

The description I found made reference to the characteristics of the bad guys vs the good guys. Bad wear black, are of a few national origins, etc etc. But get this - the bad guys use Windows PCs - the good guys use Macs! Horrors!!

That blue SC 430 has been driven on 24 many times this season, especially last night. If anything bad happens to that car this season, I'll be pissed!
