Default another rim tire question

Hey I searched but couldnt find something specific I am running a staggared 2IS wheel set up thats 18x8 and 18x8.5 rear. I want to eliminate the need for front spacers so I am going to buy two 18x8.5 rears and throw them up front so ill be 18x8.5 all around. Question is has anyone tried to run 255/40/18s up front? I would love to be able to rotate my tires at oil changes again expecially since my new found camber in the rear after my drop.

Worst case scenario I guess I could do 245 up front and 255 in the back. I think the combo of a half inch wider up front and 20-30mm wider tire will be flush enough for my front to ditch the 25mm spacer.

Let me know your thoughts. I also have the Wald style lip kit coming in so I can hopefully get all these changes done around the same time

I think 20s would look good with the body kit

not switching the wheels since I only need one more rear 18x8.5 to complete the set (and then ill sell a set of 4 18x8s to make up some of this cash), just need to know if 255s will rub or not. I also think that the ride is rough enough with the drop so 20s would make it even worse.

Just a thought! If you already have the 255/40/18s for the rear why not put them on the front and the fronts on the rear, try them before buying more wheels and tires. I wouldn't run that set up for too long, just to see if it works. I know it's more work but could save you some bucks in the long run. Then you would know for sure.

yea looks like i am going to have to do that since apparently no one on here has ever run a 255 tire up front. I know the rim itself is fine.

Without spacers, there should be plenty of room left.
