I emailed Nengun and got a reply. The cusco strut bar is for JDM model equivalent to the US SC430, but it is designed for right hand drive with a part # 188 540 A. I checked some US vendors and they have the same bar for US model with a part # 187 540 A. I guess they are two different designs but both will fit.

Now the question is how significant is the improvement with the front strut bar. My impression from users on this forum has been a small improvement on handling, if any.

However, OP seems to swear by it. What gives?

The last time I installed one of these it was called a "monte carlo bar" and it went on a 66 mustang convert. It mad a huge difference in cowl shake but then again my SC doesn't have cowl shake.

It tightens it up a bit. I have a Cusgo one and it just makes the front end more rigid...

Ordered mine from here:

I checked edoperformance and it is out of stock like OP said. The JDM version fron the Japanese store is a different design, more like the Tom's bar.

They never keep them in stock. Mine had to come from Japan. Added a few weeks but worth it.

I might as well order from Japan directly. Total shipped is $246 for me. Shipping time is 3-5 days to USA.

Edoperformance.com will charge me CA tax and shipping on top of the $180 price, so it comes out about the same.

Right - great service from Nengun.

Dave - I couldn't find the TRD sway bar model I had found earlier. I suggest asking the folks at Nengun about that.

Thanks Mate. I tried Nengun. They were pretty useless actually.

Robert - yes I got all three too. I think my handling is a lot better. The ride should improve when I get rid of the run flats in a few weeks although the 19" wheels might make it rougher. I'm tempted to get taller tires to compensate.
