Bulbs!
Sorry for the delay - been swamped. No. When I opened the dome light module I saw there were no connectors (2004 sc) and the wires are connected to the bracket with a rivet. Before removing the wires and rivets I wanted to test the bulbs with a simple mount built from parts at radio shack. I have't done that yet. But I did complete the rest of the front LED upgreade including the 168's for the side lights. I used yellow halogens still for the fog lights because I like the look. I finally used the LED's for the DLR's which look way way better than the brightest halogens I tried - as everyone wrote - but I had to see it I guess.
I did learn how to drop the front bumper which is a good thing to know how to do. Note on that - when reassembling you really need to press the headlight wash hose very hard otherwise it will come lose and all the fluid runs out. That is what happened to me - you should hear/feel a click when it goes in fully - there is a notch.
You do not need to drop the bumper though for the side lights - you can reach them through the liner if you remove the two screws.

Confirmation on post from iJDMToy - everything worked as described and the decoder with the LED's look great. Turns out that I still had the factory original 84mo battery but when the car wasn't running it would not power the entire LED module so that messed up my testing. The card wouldn't run with the airbox all disconnected. No problems at all with a new battery.
Now if you want to some thing really sharp. I have the hole car done up in LED's, Headlights, Tailights, All side markers, Lic.. plate light and Fog lights. From Clear Corners in Ca, very wild looking, never seen nothing like it. before
Awesome! I'm getting there ... Still undecided about the 06 taillight upgrade but have changed most to LED's. Did you invert the wiring for the dome lights by drilling out the riviets?

For the dome light I used a universal ba9 connector and a panel LED that all I needed to do was to reverse the wires on the LED panel and voila' light worked.

Bacardi
I mostly followed the original post by scdroptop for LEDs. I just looked at the clear corners website - very nice! I really like the front side markers - I put in LEDs but still have the yellow lens - the dual colors to repeat the directional sounds really nice. For the rear did you do that with the 06+ lights? Clear corner website still says in development. Great job.

the rears are clear lenses with leds going across the hole light.
the fronts are clear lenses leds that blink across the hole light, white yellow, white yellow, white yellow, sharpest lights i ever seen.

OK I may be dense. But f the DRLs are just the high beams at a lower power, doesn't swapping the bulbs out with LEDs mean that you no longer have strong high beams? I mean LEDs are just not as bright, right? Although I do want to do those yellow DRLs.
Bacardi - i totally agree - those clear corner sides lights look fantastic. I will be writting them!
Fubie - yes high beams will be the same as the DLR's but still fine for to flash when necessary. The look so much better.
