Default Struts and shocks

I heard the Bilstein GS strut will fit the 2002 430sc perfectly in the front. Is this true? What year ones. the GS 300 or the GS 430's i need? I also want to run Swift Springs that will drop the car .8 inches. Can someone tell me if the above is true..Dose anybody know? What are the parts numbers used.

Bilstein Sports FRONT BE5-2802 , REAR BE5-2803

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BILSTEIN-SP-...item20bc30e234

I wouldn't see why they would not fit, as quite a bit of GS/SC parts work on both. Perhaps you can call the vendor at the above auction or e-mail them to see for sure?

Why not just go with some Megan EZ's? Or Street LP's?

You can use the coilovers from the 2gs but the balance would be off (not tuned for the SC430).
People bought 2gs coilvers because they were easier to find and cheaper to get especially for the used ones before.
Check their application list, even the aftermarket manufactures themselves don't say they can kill two birds with one stone.

You can get some new coilovers well under $1000 for the SC430 these days, so 2gs coilovers have lost their price advantage.

As for the Bilstein shocks, I believe one member here did install the 2gs front shocks on his SC430 years ago.
However, the 2gs shocks and springs are different from the sc430 ones according to the oem catalog.
Also, Bilstein makes the shocks specially tuned for the SC430, but unfortunately not sold in the US as far as I know.

Here are Bilsteins only:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BILSTEIN-SP-...item20bc30e234

With springs already...good deal here if you can break away from the Swift and consider Eibach?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-GS300-...item1e68729038

Here are swift springs:

Do you need an alignment too, bacardi? I can arrange that for you? What time works best? LOL

I'm with Talwang though...it would be MUCH easier and give you more adjustment options to do a coilover...but a man likes what he likes.

Sounds like the swift springs are just cut springs with same stiffness as the stock springs. Am I correct?

I got the Toyota TTE sport springs. They are shorter (drop by 1") and stiffer (thicker and harder to compress) than the stock springs, a different design than the swift springs.

the swift springs drop the car .8 front .6 rear. i didn;t to much of a drop. if you check out swifts web site the springs are made from a different matial then other springs. this one of the reasons i wanted them. now i have to find strut if possible.

It is under Bistein Premium Order Line.
At today's exchange rate, the Bilstein shocks for the SC430 alone will cost you more than $2000.
The Bilstein coilovers with ETS kit as shown in pic above will cost you more than $3700, add another $500 if you want the MTAS option.

The Swift lowering springs are designed to go with your oem shocks.
Unless there is something wrong with your oem shocks, I would suggest you leave them as is.
You could try the Bilstein front shocks for the 2gs since someone here had tried them and claimed they fitted.
For the rear, you are on your own.
