In some markets - in the middle east and some areas of Europe in particular, parking sensors with some form of park assist- even if just audible are standard. Has anyone, who has had the plastic bumper cover off noticed that an extra harness might be present? Lexus usually includes all of the wiring even if it is not used. Although those markets may need a completely different wiring harness. Anyone notice? Thanks!

I believe the set of four parking sensors on F&R bumpers are optional in Japan.
Not sure if they are completely plug and play for the US SC430.
Generally some easy modification should make them work if any.

The problem is the cost (61,200 Yens).
Don't be surprised to spend a grand or more after shipping and install fees.

 

I have the above kit the cool thing about it has a nice lady that talks to you in Japanese. Came as standard with my car. If your thinking about buying it to install you will be better off doing the rear camera mod that others have done on here.
