It was one of those boy racer types, lowered to nearly touch the ground, insane body kit, riddiculous alloys, its logical to assume I may have been lucky as on paper he did have a faster car however he still lost . A bit of friendly spur of the moment fun not serious street racing or anything. there is the local tracxh for that... well not that we have a local track

Horrific.
Though we don't know if that was drunk driving, etc.
Still, each one of those pics was more sobering than the last. Thx for posting that. Absolutely frightening.

Not an SC but! Same message... Speed kills....
Reminds me of what happened a couple years ago when an older model audi TT went airborne and slammed into the mouth of the Likelike tunnel here in hawaii.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said two of the dead appear to be males and the other a female. All were pronounced dead at the scene.

He said the accident occurred about 3:50 a.m.

Police are turning Kaneohe-bound traffic around at Valley View Drive.

The deaths this morning bring to 16 the number of traffic fatalities on Oahu so far this year. That compares with nine traffic fatalities during the same period last year.

Police traffic investigators estimated the car was traveling at more than 100 mph when the crash occurred.

By about 7 a.m., they had completed their investigation at the site.

Police spokesman Capt. Frank Fujii said the four-door Audi sedan was speeding when it hit the embankment on the left, then went airborne before slamming into the tunnel wall on the right.

At about 7:20 a.m., firefighters began the grim task of extricating bodies from the wreckage.

"We're hoping there are no other people in that car," Fujii said, adding that investigators could not be sure until several of the victims' bodies are removed.

Witnesses estimated the age of those killed in the crash at between 20 and 30 years, Fujii said.

"Our message to people is, 'Don't speed. Speed kills.' This is just a waste of life," Fujii said.

As of 7:20, police were estimating that the Kaneohe-bound lanes of the highway will remain closed for another hour or two

I dusted a new 2-dr acura and the guy was very upset cuz the girlfriend was a shocked passenger.

also, just because i could, on my vacation to gold beach, oregon (from seattle) mostly via the famous hwy 101, i had a golden rule that ONLY cool cars could pass me. for 8 hours, only a very cute bmw m-3 was allowed to show me their tail lights. dorky fun!

i like your golden rule! i think i have a little "first syndrome" in my genes from my dad. I'm pretty sure he follows that rule too, just wont admit to it

those acuras are always feisty ones who think they have so much power, but even the highly modded ones aren't that hard to beat (unless its an NSX). rsx's aren't allowed to see my front license plate in their rearview.
