Default Window Exterior Weather Strip Question

Has anyone replaced the weather stripping at the bottom of the window glass?
My glass has very faint markings which I'm guessing is caused by the weather stripping and the fact that the rubber is old and stiff.
Wondering how easy/hard it is to change out.
Thanks

I assume you’re talking about the door windows…. In this case, it’s very easy to remove.
You have to detach the top portion of the rubber door seal (top corner above the door latch) to expose 1 screw. Remove the screw and lift the weather strip off.

The weather strip felt like material can be cleaned with soapy water and a finger brush (or your wife’s tooth brush) to remove the contaminants (grit) and than reinstalled.

As much as I'd want to use my wife's toothbrush for this job I think mine are so worn out that I'd be better off just replacing them.
Thanks for the tip about the screw. It's knowledge like that that'll save a lot of headache in the long run.

Has anyone replaced them? Mine have little white dots on them. I hate to say it, but my car is out in the Florida sun all day when I'm at work.

Well you better check the part number for an IS, I was looking at the SC and I suspect the doors are not the same length... I have not replaced mine, but it has been cleaned by the dealer before. I suspect to seat it properly you'll need to the take the entire interior door panel off. For the SC that's several screws, clips, window controls and interior door handle. Don't know about the IS though.
