Hello, just purchased 03 Lexus 430 SC. Noticed that there is a clicking sound when I shift gears with the shifter. Is that normal? If not what might that be?

 

Clicking when you go from Reverse to Drive, etc...?

I have that click and think it is normal.

 

Where does it sound like the clicking noise is coming from? Is from inside the cabin? If outside, is it from the front or rear or directly under you? Which side is it coming from?

Some noises that could be termed a clicking noise actually come from the brake calipers when they don't turn loose proper. However, most of us term that to be a metallic clunk.

yup it's normal, all automatic lexus are like that.
