The front-end software both Blast-Off and I use is called Centrafuse. It's software specifically designed for CarPC use. It's got simple, big buttons for the major functions.

I have a **** installed on the center console (on top of the coin holder) that works similar to the BMW iDrive ****.

By moving the **** in different directions (left, right, forward, back), I can change the various inputs (Radio, Sat Radio, mp3's, etc.). Then by turning the **** (clockwise, counterclockwise) I can scroll through whatever list I'm on. Pressing the **** selects the item, pulling up on the **** returns me to the home screen.

I don't even have to look at the screen to navigate around the menus.

If I'm using the screen for the factory navigation, I can still change radio stations, go to the next song in my playlist, etc. All without even seeing what's on the screen. Try that with your iPad.

I've heard of the Joycon module. I just don't know of anyone who's gotten it to work on an SC430...or even a Lexus in-general.

If you come back and tell me it works on your car...I'll order one the same day!

I'm wondering...does this work in parallel with factory wiring? Or (and I'm guessing this is more likely the case) do you have to choose to unhook the steering wheel controls from the factory radio and only hook them into this module?

I'd like to use the up/down buttons for my CarPC...but I still want the volume (up/down/vol. preset) and mode buttons to work on the factory stereo.

Yeah, I know...I'm greedy.

Next job will be to replace the current touch screen with a newer version, this should make the screen crystal clear...
