my MB slk took 8 quarts (V6)and the LC uses 7.5 but the specifications on the SC says 5.5 and I just changed it last week. 5.5 filled it up.

Just use 5w30 as stated on the engine oil cap.

I bought Toyota oil fromt he dealer & they state 7 quart.............but my mechanic said 6 quart......now 5.5??? I put 6 quart, not sure if it will flood the engine...

Manual states required amout of oil. 5W30. I use Synthetic.

I use synthetic and +1 to mandyfig and others. The manual states the amount of oil which is 5.5 qts. Can't go wrong if it says it right in the manual...

I believe it is 5.5 quarts with the oil filter change. I use Pennzoil Platinum or Castrol Edge.

I always supply the shop 6 quarts of 5W30, usually Mobil 1. I sometimes get a little back so 5.5 quarts sounds right.

I think the best synthetic is Amsoil either 5-20 or 0-20.

The service place I take my 430 to says a blend is sufficient for my car .. I was under the impression that a full synthetic was necessary? Thoughts, please. Thanks.
