Default Valet Key Help

I have two keys that operate my 2006 SC430, but it did not come with a valet key, I bought it used. Could someone please let me know the easiest and most cost effective way to obtain a valet key. Thanks in advance.

Easiest- go to dealer sewell has them... They are $80 minus the cl discount. Not sure if this includes cutting and programming.... Most likely not.

you can certainly buy cheaper on eBay probably $30 or so and you will have to program and get cut on your own.

If you do not have the valet key, where is it.
The person with the valet key can steal your car..
Go to a dealer and let the valet key removed from the cars computer.
Then the valet key person can open your car but only by sticking the key in the door and turn it. But then the alarm will kicks in...
And remember you own a special car not a car everybody has..

SC, Thanks for the link to Sewells, I've ordered from them before. It's about $68 with discount. Here is the description of the valet key:

"Lexus valet key is the best in luxury. For use with hotel valets and parking attendants. A valet key - usually grey in color - will start the ignition and open the drivers side door but prevents access to personal belongings located in the trunk or the glove box keeping your valuables at bay."

Can it really prevent access to the trunk? Someone could push the trunk open button on left side of the dash just below the steering wheel, correct? Or is this button only activated when a master key opens the door?

Thanks

There's a Valet switch in the glove box.

Press this, then lock the glove box and center console with the master key.

The Valet switch locks out the trunk, and the top. And the physical valet key will not open the glove box or the center console.
