I considering installing a VAIS in my 2007 SC and looking for opinions on which model and if there are any local installers that are good and won't bugger up the install or my car. Here are the particulars to consider:

- 2007 SC with ML/NAV no mods on the car so far.
- Want to integrate iPhone 4
- Prefer to have the jack hidden like in the center consol
- Want to control via buttons on steering wheel
- BT integration would be awesome - hate wires.
- I live in the 94546 area (Hayward Castro Valley) San Francisco Bay Area.

You should do a search...this topic is one of the most talked about topics including where to install-it will be hidden if done right.

Will control center console. You have BT on your 2007 already. That particular Vais unit will control iPhone-I have it.

Post installer recommendations in the Northern Cal Forums Regionally for best local installer information.

I got mine done at local Lexus dealer (Sewell).

We have some members that I recalled used Soundgate and were fairly happy with it. I read the specs and it does seem really similar. It certainly wouldn't hurt to try and save $150...looks like this vendor is having a big sale on them.

Do a search on Soundgate in the SC430 forums. It was over a year ago.

 

Was $69 today, so I picked one up
Now just need the courage to try to put it in!
