so I go to open up my hood yesterday, and it wont stay up, one or both of the shocks are gone..how do I tell which one it is? also, I cant believe the price of these little shocks. 1 is close to 90.00 on eby!!!! I have had many cars with shocks for the hoods and trunks and nothing even comes close to that price.

I think you should replace both if you're going to replace one. Sooner or later its going to go out. No point in doing the job twice.
