Default Trunk or Back Seat Rattle Solution

I thought this topic would be worth it's own thread because it took me a long time to finally solve this low hum rattle coming from either my back seat or the trunk area. I initially thought it may be the tools and put padding around them, checked the passenger back seat a couple of times, but all of this with no success. I finally concluded that this is simply how a hard top convertible runs with lots of complex mechanics in the trunk. However, after someone posted the "roof rattle" thread I conducted a search and low and behold found the source this rattle! The thread below actually shows a photo of a rubber bushing that if turned counter clockwise while the top is paused in midst of opening will solve this problem. I hope this helps at least one owner.

Now that I have found resolved this issue, I'm not sure there is an issue in this forum that has not been previously discussed.

Your link doesn't work for me. Is this the one you're referring to?

Bon, Yes that is the link I was referring to, thanks. I reposted in my post now so there are two places to visit it from. Very valuable and simple information in it that took me a long time to figure out.

this rubber hob fix is coming up over and over.

I still think we should create a 'sticky' thread with fixes like this.
this may be the third time, after bon's initial post, that this fix
has been resurrected.

how do we do a '430 fixes' sticky thread?

I have no idea how start a "430 fixes" sticky thread, but that's a good idea!

If you guys want a sticky thread, you can PM one of the cl moderators here.
I also think the sticky threads need some updating.

OK, but how do we get a hold of a moderator?
maybe they'll respond to our posts?

Redundancy is not a bad thing. More specifically this site has new members fairly often, therefore, there is not much harm in recycling and bringing to the top of the post list some of the more import, non-intuitive or hard to solve issues IMO, short of a sticky thread.

Yes, but that's why there is a search and Advanced search feature.

the search is great if you remember specific key words.
I did a search for the 'adjustment ****' and couldn't find it.
a sticky 'obscure fixes' thread would help far more than hinder, in any way.
why not make these fix-it finds easily accessible?

we've got two so far IMO:
- top tension **** adjustment
- ECU reset

what others do you have?
