What was the best tire you ever had on your SC?
I have had run flat tires for the past 4 years, and I have noticed it gives a a sluggish ride, and they are not very durable.
Have many of you used run flats on the SC, or not?
Can you please recommend a brand to me?

Tires on your SC will, at best, last you about 18-20K. The camber angle wears them down. Religious tire rotation at 5K and keeping a close watch on the inflation will help a little. So far I'm pleased with my NON-RF Goodyear Eagle F1s. A better ride so far, but they only been on the car for about 4k now so it's hard to tell about durability.

I've been running Pirelli Zero RF and have over 20kmi on them now, though time is drawing near to replace them. They are definitely better than the OEM Bridgestones (040). I don't really do performance driving, so I can't really speak towards that arena, though I have never heard them squeal either and they did realtively well in the snow and ice.
I plan on changing over to non-run flats when I get new tires though. I'm looking at some Yokohama YK520s but I haven't personally tried them yet.

I have had 2 sets so far.
The original run-flats were just OK at best.
The Michelin Pilot Sport (or something like that) are much better: smoother, quieter, better handling, etc. Getting these demonstrated to me how bad the run-flats were. (This becomes clear after about 3 blocks.)

When I had my SC I ran Dunlop Direza 101s. The car was a sweetheart on these

WHhen you change them, see if you can get somebody to take out the negative camber as much as possible in the back ONLY.....the front will help your handling if it has some negative camber (but less than factory specs) and more front toe-in than the factory specs; makes the steering response much, much better--(but the fronts will still wear unevenly much more than many folks like, but not the back tires, unless you do a lot of heavy acceleration)
however, one needs to be careful in the wet, cause the rear end will come around much easier and quicker as the car will sometimes "oversteer" but that is what a porsche will do as well, when suspension adjusted right
Add some upgraded sways, which I can not get, and you will be much happier

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are the best tires I have found. More comfortable ride and much longer lasting. Handling much improved over runcraps.

Nitto NT555 ZR Extremes. Changed to them (from very noisy Pirelli PZero Nero's) when we upgraded the wheels and went to staggered 20's. Only caveat is they are directional so rotating means breaking down each tire from the rim to swap direction.
Love 'em though. They are sticky, smooth and quiet. I expect to buy new ones at 15000 miles. ~ 2 years of SC driving.
