When it comes to having a clean vehicle, the people in this forum are nothing short of fastidious and are my sole source of information.
A couple of questions ....
What do you use to clean bugs off your car?
Do you wash first, then clean them off or vice-versa?
My brother uses a mesh-covered sponge to wash his car - he recommended it to me because of the way it cleans off bugs. I'm not too sure about the mesh being non-abrasive, though. But what does HE care ... he has a Cadillac.

You better be careful. I happen to own a Cadillac and am in the purchasing process on an SC. I'd like to believe I have the best of both worlds. Large sporty luxo-yacht (DTS) and small sporty luxo-convertible (SC).
I like to keep my vehicle clean, but not try to be overboard. I wash my 'lac every 1 to 2 weeks. I like the big soft sponges you can get at any auto store. Personally, when I'm washing the car and come across bug remains, I scrub the heck out of it. I don't think you can do any damage scrubbing with those soft sponges. We'll see if anyone disagrees with me.
By the way, I used the Griot's Best of Show Wax with the name brand orbital they sell in their catalog a week and a half a go. Could not get the wax off without soaking the car and scrubbing it off with micro fiber cloths. I'm never using their wax again!

First off, the mesh sponge is non abrasive and works well for removing bugs. No paint damage to worry about. Just make sure the surface is wet and the water has a chance to soften the corpses.
As far as the Griots wax, it is hard to take off. It's best put on by hand and VERY sparingly. In fact, no more than 1/4 cup should cover the entire car. Most , if not all, carnubas should be put on this way. You can use the orbital to remove it.

Yes, 'lac, so I've been told is the hip way to refer to a Cadillac. And I also heard that an Escalade is called a 'slade.
I was only using that term in a joking manner..., I wouldn't routinely refer to my car as a 'lac.
BTW, what does "LMAO" mean?? HaHa!
